LuckyIndonesia Restaurant
Serving the Kwun Tong District for more than 35 years, the renowned restaurant - Luckybrings us a refreshing and authentic spatial experience while keeping the coziness to welcome the neighborhoods.
Covered with wooden texture, from exterior to interior, Lucky gives you the homey vibes upon your arrival. Soft lighting flooded on the wooden paneled walls create a classy ambience which celebrates their specialist on Indonesian cuisine.
Together with the bamboo wall lights, it resonates the Indonesian architecture and interior where these materials are commonly used.Ceiling is filled with the brand blue color which is inspired by the indigo blue dye representing the Indonesian traditional crafts. The well balanced contrast and harmony among the colors made up the new image for Lucky.
Carefully divided wall panels behind the bench seating featured the Sarongs by the means of Batik, celebrating the traditional material and technique. Sarong is a type of fabric that can be found in Southeast Asia and Batik is a wax-resist dyeing technique for cloth originated from Indonesia and Island of Java. The intriguing pattern captivates attention and enliven the space.
We also abstracted the traditional patterns and reinterpreted into a 3 dimensional wooden tiles, reintroducing the patterns with a contemporary approach. With the embellishment of the owner handpicked artefacts from Indonesia, the exotic feelings is accentuated, bringing a eclectic moment to the neighborhood.
BRAND IDENTITY CONCEPT
Sunset Nostalgia — Sunrise Beginnings
Our visual identity concept embodies the historical anecdote of our restaurant from more than 35 years ago, which reminisces the old Kwun Tong neighborhood. During that time, without the recent high-rise redevelopments around the restaurant, a golden low-angle sun shone onto our restaurant facade, poetically fading the facade wood tints like the colour of sunset.
While simultaneously seeking a harmonious balance with the new contemporary ideas, just like the sunrise in the break of dawn, reminding us there is a new tomorrow.
